Foundher has joined a growing group of Australian and global businesses pledging to support participation in the global climate strike, three days before the UN Climate Action summit.

Millions of school children around the world will be calling on adults to join them in the streets and send a message to governments - now is the time for meaningful climate action.

“We know every business can be part of the change on Friday, whether it’s closing for the entire day, holding off on meetings or making it clear that it’s okay to leave your workspace to join the strike,” said Elana Robertson, Managing Director and owner of Foundher.co

Students around Australia will be campaigning for no new coal, oil and gas projects, 100% renewable energy generation and exports by 2030 and to fund a just transition and job creation for all fossil-fuel workers and communities.

“As a big believer in the power of a purpose-driven business, now is the time for leaders in our community to recognise the impact they can have by using their business as a force for positive social and environmental change,” she said.

What began as a single business closing down quietly on the day of the global climate strike, in just one week, a long list of Australian and global businesses supported their employees to strike.

“This is an example of the powerful ripple effect that one business decision can make,” said Elana.
